I am an expert on the Middle East: Israel became a state in 1949. The Six Day War created lots of trouble. Iraq is a republic. Afghanistan is a republic. The Camp David treaty made peace between Israel and Egypt. The West Bank is land west of Jordan River. The Middle East has oil fields in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and other countries. Saddam Hussein was driven from power in 2003,and hanged in 2006.
